Our Financial Planning & Analysis team has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, outcomes focused individual with strong analytical skills to join our team as a Financial Planning Analyst in a full-time capacity**.**
This purpose of the FP&A role is to assist the FP&A Manager in the execution of various value-added activities of dnata’s FP&A function allowing the dnata to make well-informed commercial decisions.
**A day in the life**:
- Responsible for the production of timely and accurate weekly and monthly reporting for the business.
- Assist managers to understand and control labor spending to drive better commercial decision making.
- Analysing financial data and building financial models to support in the decision-making process.
- Partnering with the business on financial modelling in support of CAPEX.
- Assist commercial team in new business development, tender creation and retrospective review.
- Review Customer Tender submissions to assess their financial feasibility
- Liaise with Category and Sales teams to ensure volumes related to Customer Tender initiatives are robust and commercially viable.
- Ensure governance framework around Customer Tenders is achieved and adhered to.
- Assist the FP&A team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Identify opportunities to develop and enhance the reporting suit for evolving business needs, whilst reducing any duplication of work.
- Evaluate financial performance and KPI’s by comparing and analysing actual results with budget and forcasts and recommend actions for optimisation.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
- Complete and assist all ad-hoc analysis requirements by management.
**To succeed in this role, you will need**:
- CPA, CIMA or equivalent is desirable (or working towards)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- A high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Desirable experience in financial modelling will be highly advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and also work independently achieve work objectives
