Private Equity backed business at the start of their journey. The business has a focus on high growth and M&A. This role will be helping to scope out the finance function of the new business.

**About the role**

This role is a Analyst role with a focus on Capital/Asset management. This role will suit someone who comes from a commercial background, with asset, inventory or supply chain experience in a commercial setting.

**Specific areas of responsibility**:

- Support the management and analysis of physical assets, which includes property, plant, and equipment (PP&E), vehicles, and capital expenditures (Capex)
- Understanding the financial implications of managing the groups physical assets
- Analysis of workshops, including decisions around in-house or outsourcing repairs, workshop locations, workshop efficiency, etc
- Analysis of assets through initial acquisition, through its lifecycle, to eventual disposal or replacement. This includes analysis of asset lifecycles, making sourcing decisions, evaluating growth capital expenditures, and running maintenance vs. replacement cost analyses
- Commercial support through capex approval process, related financial modelling, ensuring DoA is seamless and complied with
- Develop and implement asset related controls, including periodic asset stocktakes

**What you'll need**
- Previous experience within the Fixed Asset Equipment Category
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; the ability to create and manipulate pivot tables, v-look ups, pricing models and other advanced formulas
- Previous experience presenting interpreted data with genuine commercial value
- The ability to be able to travel for work every so often
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
