**Temporary Part Time role (20 hours per fortnight plus weekends ) - Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays with a minimum of 1 in 8 Sundays**:

**About the role**:
Merri-bek Libraries is a responsive and agile library service. Currently, we are seeking a Customer Services Librarian to join our Glenroy Library team in providing high quality customer service.

In performing this role some of your key responsibilities will be to engage with our diverse community to provide excellent customer service. Provide technology help to library users. Supervise, support and train members of the library team as required. Assist with library initiatives that bridge the digital divide. Assist with library events and activities.

**Skills and experience require to perform the role**:

- Teamwork, supervisory and communication skills
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills and ability to defuse conflict
- Ability to lead, motivate and coach staff to achieve team goals and objectives
- Fluency in a community language is desirable
- Eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
- A current Working with Children Check
