We currently have an exciting opportunity available in the Environment Business Unit as an Environmental Education Officer on a 12 month fixed term contract.

**About the role**
In the Planning & Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of requests and processes supporting initial ideas through to final delivery. You’ll need to be proactive and a strong communicator. You’ll value teamwork, consistency and openness to change. At the end of the day, you’ll know that you are making a difference. The work you do is valued, both within Council and by the community. Making a tangible meaningful contribution is what you’ve been searching for. And you’ve found it at Willoughby City Council.

You will be responsible as the Environmental Education Officer managing the delivery of education projects and programs within Council and for our community to support the achievement of targets within Our Green City Plan 2028.

To be successful in this role you will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Education, Environmental Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience and proven experience in researching, developing and delivering sustainability and waste educational programs.
