Environmental Sustainability Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our environmental sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective environmental management plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement Construction Environmental Management Plans, sub-plans and other planning documentation to minimize environmental impacts.
- Manage consultative processes in the workplace relating to the environment throughout all stages of project delivery, promoting a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
- Support onsite teams by conducting ongoing risk management processes, hazard identification and performing required environmental inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Educate delivery teams through delivering toolbox meetings and developing, coordinating and delivering training programs on environmental best practices.
- Review and update risk registers to ensure they remain relevant and effective in managing environmental risks.
- You hold a relevant tertiary degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, statutory or strategic planning, environmental management, or a related discipline, with a preference for postgraduate qualifications.
- You have at least 5 years' experience in environmental management, with extensive experience in preparing and implementing environmental management systems and plans, as well as day-to-day management of all on-site environmental aspects including field testing, site inspections, and monitoring requirements within your designated areas.
- You possess a good understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation relating to environmental planning and approvals, environmental licensing, and site environmental management.
- Experience in the water/wastewater industry is advantageous, but not essential.
