We are seeking a senior advisor to support our construction and maintenance teams across the Northern region of Sydney by providing expert advice and technical expertise in environmental management.

Job Description

This role will involve managing project environmental aspects, preparing and implementing Construction Environmental Management Plans, sub-plans, and other planning documentation. You will also be responsible for conducting ongoing risk management processes, hazard identification, and performing required environmental inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Environmental Management: Manage all project environmental aspects, including preparation and implementation of environmental management systems and plans.
  • Consultative Processes: Implement and manage consultative processes in the workplace relating to the environment throughout all stages of project delivery.
  • Risk Management: Conduct ongoing risk management processes, hazard identification, and perform required environmental inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Educational Support: Educate delivery teams through toolbox meetings and develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant tertiary degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, statutory or strategic planning, environmental management, or related disciplines. You should have at least 5 years of experience in environmental management, with extensive experience in preparation and implementation of environmental management systems and plans. Strong experience in day-to-day management of on-site environmental aspects, including field testing, site inspections, and monitoring requirements is essential.
