**About the role**

As Compliance Officer (Animal Management) you will be part of the Animal Management team and responsible for providing proficient and effective technical support in relation to community compliance, licensing and investigation.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Conduct investigations and provide guidance on community compliance and licensing
- Perform property inspections and interact with owners to ensure adherence to animal keeping legislation
- Address complaints about state legislation and local law violations, enforcing laws as per departmental guidelines
- Document findings from investigations and inspections, and contribute evidence for legal proceedings when necessary
- Safely seize, capture, and impound animals

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- The ability to safely handle animals and work with animals
- The ability to take part in and be available for on call roster, outside of working hours and over weekends
- Current C class driver’s licence
- Resilience, passion, a community focus and the ability to communicate effectively
- Belief in our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership

A pre-employment medical will be required for this role and may require vaccinations to provide appropriate protections related to the duties of the position.

This is a permanent full-time position with a salary between $85,007 to $100,515 plus 12.5% superannuation.
