**About the role**

As Development Compliance Officer you will be part of the Development Planning Branch and responsible for investigating development related offences under the Building Act and Planning Act legislation.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Conducting investigations related to development offences in accordance with the relevant local government, planning and building legislation
- Education and enforcement to assist in ensuring risks to the public safety or environment are minimised or avoided
- Managing a portfolio of Customer Service Requests
- Consult, negotiate and provide assistance on matters of a technical or general development nature with developers, consultants, statutory authorities and residents

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Qualifications (tertiary or other) in a relevant field such as town planning, building surveying/construction, environmental management, or relevant experience in local government compliance/investigations
- Current QLD C Class Drivers Licence

This is a full time, fixed term position until December 2025, level 4 with a salary commencing at $80,959 plus 12.5% superannuation.
