Communications Officer

This would be a 3-month contract position. The Communications Officer will be partnering with the Operations division to undertake internal and external communication project activities.

Your new role

Key duties include:

- Work with operational managers to prepare and deliver strategies and tactics for communicating port operations-related initiatives and projects to employees and stakeholders.
- Research, write, and deliver internal communications materials and products and assist operational managers and supervisors in effective internal communications.
- Assist in the delivery of communications training.
- Liaise with other departments within Fremantle Ports to collect and process information to include in Fremantle Ports’ publications and to contribute through the preparation of communications initiatives.
- Schedule and undertake activities in line with communications planning.
- Take photographs and video where required for use in communication activities.

What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary or industry qualification in a relevant field.
- Proven track record in developing and executing project communication strategies, including the delivery of on-ground activities that deliver practical outcomes.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.

Experience in an operational environment desirable.
