The Heart of the Role

Applications are invited to join The Scots College teaching and learning team as the Head of Data Analytics and Systems, responsible for leading the organisation’s education data strategy and ensuring seamless integration and interoperability of systems across the campuses and teams. This role is critical in leveraging data to drive insights, operational efficiency, and evidence-informed decision-making and the post holder will be responsible for the coordination and administration of all components of academic, performance, pastoral, physical and mental health data systems.

The role will involve collaboration with the Deputy Principal '“ Academics and other key leaders in the domains of Student Experience, as well as Sport and the Co-curricular, in the development, management, training, and review of student systems within the College. By integrating data across areas of the curriculum, the co-curricular and the pastoral, the Head of Data Analytics and Systems will be part of a team working to achieve high-quality teaching, coaching, learning, and overall student development outcomes across our campuses.

The post holder will have oversight of the use and development of the College’s key student systems, including those related to athletic performance, strength and conditioning and student wellbeing. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with external organisations regarding student performance, wellbeing, and health. The role maximises the utility, effectiveness, and efficiency of these systems for staff and students, ensuring a holistic approach to student flourishing.

Who are you?
- You have a Bachelor of Education Degree and ideally a Master of Educational Leadership or, a significant experience and a proven track record of leading whole school initiatives to improve student outcomes.
- You will have demonstrated an understanding of school improvement through the analysis of data.
- You have outstanding organisational skills with the proven ability to work within tight timeframes and capacity to effectively manage multiple projects.
- You will have demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, school organisation policy and procedures.
- You will have demonstrated commitment to nurturing positive relationships between students, staff and external stakeholders.
- You have or can obtain a valid working with children check.
- You are committed to ongoing learning in alignment with the development directions of The Scots College.
- You are characterised by purpose, persistence and reflection.
- You are committed to growth and progressively attain goals through curiosity and asking key questions.
