**About the role**:
With a major program of investment and upgrades underway, you will have the opportunity to work at Newport at a time when there are exciting projects being developed and executed, and you get to be a critical part of this transformation program working alongside some of the best in the business.

In this role, you will be a critical part of a close-knit team responsible for the overall safety, operation and project delivery at Newport Terminal. You will be commissioning and operating equipment at the Newport Terminal ensuring the safe handling and storage of fuel products - leading and collaborating around project delivery, ensuring effective operational readiness, commissioning and new asset integration into existing operations.

Collaboration and communication among the team will be essential to the success of the operation and in order to ensure safety and operational protocols are applied effectively and to resolve any operational or project issues safely, efficiently and effectively.

**Key responsibilities**
- Be the conduit between operations and Engineering team to facilitate new project work safely
- Prepare operational procedures in line with operational requirements and communicate to all stake holders
- Assist with job start meetings, permitting, gas testing and Lock out tag out.
- Attend HAZOP, constructability reviews, commissioning plans and operational readiness sessions for new equipment installation
- Assist with wet and dry commissioning of new equipment
- Assist the broader operations team when necessary with operations tasks
- Ensure delivered projects meet operational requirements

**Qualifications and Skills**:
To be successful in this role you will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude and good communication skills with a positive and flexible attitude. You will demonstrate commitment to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) and the desire to work and contribute to a high-performing team. Previous experience in an operational or manufacturing environment, or experience in fuel terminal operations / road tanker loading facilities may be an advantage.
