Cleared are supporting a national leader in Cloud, Data Centres, Government Cyber Security and Telecom. We are looking to speak to Information Technology Security Advisors and SOC Analysts/Team Leads.

The **Security Advisor** will be responsible for leading, managing and guiding the Information Security Compliance & Governance Program to ensure that Hosting internal and external clients receive professional and effective information security management services.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to and support an information security culture within the hosting line of business.
- Monitor and oversee implementation of policies and procedures that meet the requirements of the hosting Information Security Management System.
- Develop security measures, in consultation with key managers, to protect MT Hosting Information Technology systems.
- Implement day-to-day practices and procedures that meet the requirements of MT Hosting Information Security Management System. Ensure team members, including contractors, are aware of their responsibilities in regards to information security.
- Develop and implement a program for security monitoring and incident reporting and maintain a security incidents register.
- Maintain the Information Security Management System, run mock audits, spot checks ensuring documented processes and procedures are being followed.
- Develop new security processes and procedures as required to support the business under the direction of the CISO / CSO to maintain and or achieve certifications including but not limited to SOC2, ISO, PCI and Australian Government Certifications.

As the **SOC Analyst and SOC Team Lead** you will be part of a team who's core purpose is to detect, contain, remediate, and prevent security incidents affecting the organisation's Secure Internet Gateway and Government Infrastructure that operates within the organisation's Datacentres.
- Pro-actively use cyber threat information, skills, and intuition to explore vast amount of data to detect security threats.
- Implement preventive and corrective countermeasures against cyber-threats.
- Evaluate impact of security bulletins & alerts including, AusCERT, SANS, ASD, vendors etc and develop detections and monitoring mechanisms to counter them.
- Subject Matter Expert in continuous monitoring and security operations. Able to assess existing security monitoring framework against current TTPS and identify gaps in our security monitoring process and remediate.
- Responsibility for vulnerability management process - and maintenance of regular VA scanning and communication to resolution of cases, in conjunction with SOC Analysts.
- Support / mentor or supplement the capability of the analyst team during periods of absence or leave.

**Skills**:

- 4+ years' experience SOC Analyst role. ISP and Telco exposure is an advantage
- Demonstrated experience leading security incident response
- Hands-on experience with at least one major SIEM technology in creation of use cases
- Good understanding of threat actors Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP's) and how these could relate to a gateway environment.
- Understanding of cyber security issues such as computer intrusions, malicious code, phishing, and SPAM
- Understanding and ability to craft use cases for SIEM technologies, principally Splunk.
