Refrigeration Technician

Refrigeration Services (VIC) Pty. Ltd. is a rapidly growing and leading commercial and industrial refrigeration contractor based in Sunshine West (Melbourne). We offer in house engineering, installation, maintenance, after hour’s emergency break down services and training. For thirty years we have been designing, installing and servicing refrigeration plants for iconic Australian companies within the cold storage, food processing and the horticultural and agricultural industries. About the position: Refrigeration Services (VIC) Pty Ltd is currently seeking Refrigeration Technicians to join our team. We pride ourselves in our workmanship and invest heavily in the ongoing training and support of our refrigeration technicians to bring them up to the forefront of our clients requirements and industry standards. This position is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Our Refrigeration Technicians are responsible for the following duties: - Following plans and specifications to install, commission, service and maintain Ammonia Refrigeration equipment; - Installing parts such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil and chilled water; - Install and connect piping to refrigeration systems, checking that parts are installed, lined up and fit properly including drilling holes, installing mounting brackets and cutting, bending and threading piping; - Test systems for gas of fluid leaks; - Test refrigeration, chillers and air handling units and adjust, make sure that they work correctly; - Checking and overhauling refrigeration systems, diagnosing faults and repairing and replacing defective joints and leaks; - Maintenance on all types of valves and compressors, oil separators, evaporators, plate heat exchangers, chillers and condensers; - Adjusting system controls and mechanisms and reassembling systems; - Fault finding, dismantle malfunctioning systems & test components; - Undertaking of preventative maintenance to plants About you: For this position, it is expected that you possess the following work experience and/or qualifications: - 2 to 3 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration - 2 to 3 years’ experience with Ammonia refrigeration plants desirable - 2 to 3 years’ experience with CO2 plants desirable - Cert III Air-conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent experience - Refrigerant Handling License - Electrical D License - Drivers License Renumeration: - Competeivbe base salary plus overtime and on call allowances (Base Salry exst. $70k p.a. - $90k p.a. based on level of experience*) - Superannuation - Fully maintained motor vehicle - Mobile Phone and IPAD - Uniform How to apply: If you have been looking to join a highly experienced, innovative team and a company that prides itself in their people we want to hear from you.
