What is the role?:
We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to join and grow the UX Design team, working collaboratively with the Product Platforms team to solve for the needs of various users across the property data solutions ecosystem.
As part of our small but growing UX Design team, this role will work collaboratively with designers, researchers, product managers, engineers and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. The position requires a pragmatic, user-centered and data informed design approach to enterprise design.
We understand that ‘UX Designer’ can be a broad term, so to better describe our ideal fit for this particular role would be a hands on ‘T-Shaped Designer’ with some breadth of knowledge across the broader scope of practices, including Research, and depth of expertise particularly in Visual/UI and Design Systems.
Job Qualifications:
What you’ll do:
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to better understand opportunities and gaps within our products and turn insights into meaningful results.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, while considering requirements, constraints, user needs, and business goals.- Craft sophisticated but practical solutions to design challenges by partnering closely with engineering, product, and business folks.- Partner with other designers to build and align on a coherent user experience, while also considering business and technical requirements for various product offerings.- Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around user needs- Create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals- Design and ship high quality product improvements- Contribute to the growth of a centralised Design System- Provide expertise to guide product design decisions, able to back design decisions supported by empirical evidence, design principles, usability heuristics, and comparative analysis, leveraging established conventions and patterns to establish effective conventions and procedural knowledge patterns- Create prototypes that can be shared with stakeholders and users for feedback and testing- Facilitate or run workshops in order to gather requirements and evolve your designs- Work closely with the dev team delivering any needed annotations/design specifications- Conduct and/or participate in user research and competitor analysis to validate prototypes / designs as needed
You might be a good fit if you:
- Have strong experience using Figma and design systems- Love tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear goals- Leverage prototyping skills to articulate your designs, especially in cases where interactions may be particularly nuanced- Value high quality visual design, and care about the details- Are comfortable challenging internal assumptions and biases to ensure the user is truly represented- Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a growing corporate UX community- Understand that good design is a collaborative journey, rather than a relay race- Display a positive attitude and aptitude towards continued learning
