Our World of Style Showroom is an inspirational design and selection centre based in **Fortitude Valley**. We now have an opportunity for a stylish and dynamic electrical designer to be part of the World of Style Team on a 12-month contract.

Designed to excite, stimulate and engage, the Showroom has been created to bring the philosophy of World of Style to life. Design is in our DNA at Porter Davis and we are looking to appoint an individual who has a passion for customer service and who lives, eats and breathes design.

**Key areas of responsibility include**:
As an Electrical Designer within World of Style, you will:

- Deliver exceptional electrical design advice and consultation - developing designs that are functional, appealing and appropriate to the client's brief while maintaining the Porter Davis design philosophy
- Maintain a strong awareness and knowledge of the Porter Davis electrical and technology offering
- Provide electrical design support to internal teams throughout the Porter Davis business, where required
- Ensure information contained on file (hard copy / electronic) or in the showroom contains accurate product information and any inconsistencies are promptly updated or followed up
- Complete post-appointment procedures, including system updates and follow-up with internal/external stakeholders, in a timely manner
- Liaise with relevant Porter Davis teams to ensure all product changes have been accurately captured
- Create and provide reports or feedback relating to electrical design, selection processes or product information to management, as requested
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere for all clients entering the World of Style
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and suppliers
- Attend to queries from both internal and external clients in a timely and efficient manner

**Who are we looking for**:
We're looking for an experienced and talented Electrical Designer to work directly with clients in providing an inspiring design consultancy service. To be successful you'll need:

- Minimum 3 years experience in the Design industry, with experience in a similar role**, is essential**:

- Computer literacy, proficiency in using electrical spec programs such as; Clipspec, ADAPTO, Lucci and BDSA
- SAP and OnBase knowledge and exposure (preferable)
- High-class customer service and communication skills
- Strong self-management, including accountability and organization skills
- Proven ability to problem solve and drive solutions with clients
- Demonstrated ability to offer comprehensive design solutions
- Evidence of proactive qualities and ability to work autonomously
- Exceptional organisational, time and project management skills
- Ability to develop unique and creative design outcomes
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mentality
- Sound knowledge of industry-based suppliers
- Proficient administrative and computer skills
- A genuine passion for helping customers and providing design advice and suggestions
