**The opportunity**:
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Corporate Affairs Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
As a trusted advisor to our Health Insurance business, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to protect and promote Bupa’s reputation.
Through timely, targeted, and impactful communications planning and execution, you will work with colleagues across the business on strategic projects, BAU comms, and reactive issues management.
To be successful in this role, you will bring significant experience working within corporate communications, government relations, media or PR, preferably within a large matrix organisation.
You will be based in Melbourne (preferable), Sydney or Brisbane with hybrid work arrangements available.
**How will I help?**
Key accountabilities include:
- Develop and deliver integrated communications and content campaigns for Health Insurance, aligned with Bupa’s strategic priorities.
- Become a trusted, influential advisor who is deeply embedded in the Health Insurance business and who understands key external stakeholders and dynamics and considers these in the development of any Corporate Affairs strategic advice or communications.
- Provide strategic and operational support across the full Corporate Affairs remit, including media relations, internal communications, stakeholder engagement, and issues management.
- Develop and deliver content about Bupa Health Insurance for diverse audiences, including employees, customers, regulators, and partners.
- Monitor content and campaign performance and stakeholder feedback to inform continuous improvement and strategic planning.
- Contribute to the development of communications frameworks, toolkits, and best practices that can be scaled.
**Why work at Bupa?**
We keep our people smiling by helping them improve their lives in and outside of the office. We’re a welcoming lot, no matter who you are or where you’ve come from. We welcome all talents and backgrounds and embrace our differences, so you can bring your true self to work.
We support our people to be the best version of themselves, physically and mentally. With a healthy work/life balance, leadership support, study leave, volunteering options and a commitment to promoting from within.
We reward our people and celebrate their success, provide initiatives that develop careers and look after our people’s health, wellbeing, and futures.
**What do I need?**
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within a highly regulated industry like health or financial services, or in a large matrix organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing integrated communications campaigns across multiple channels and markets.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content for varied audiences.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, matrixed environments and manage competing priorities.
- Familiarity with digital communications platforms, content management systems, and social media tools.
- Experience supporting change communications and enterprise-wide initiatives is highly desirable.
