We’re looking for a **Dental Officer** to join our close-knit, multi-disciplinary dental team. Whether you're a seasoned public dental practitioner or early in your career with strong values and a commitment to health equity, this is a role where your clinical skills and community mindset will shine.

**About the role**:
You’ll provide a full scope of general dental care to our clients - from diagnosis and emergency services to restorations, extractions, minor oral surgery, periodontal care and oral health education. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring early-career clinicians and contributing to service quality and innovation.
- Your day-to-day will include:

- Providing high-quality clinical care including examinations, diagnostics, restorations, extractions, and infection management
- Delivering preventive services and tailored oral health education in a supportive, trauma-informed way
- Performing conservative periodontal management and endodontic treatment where appropriate
- Supporting patient flow and access through efficient time and appointment management
- Keeping accurate and high-quality clinical records in line with AHPRA and DHSV guidelines
- Contributing to clinical meetings, peer reviews, and quality improvement activities
- Acting as a mentor for Dental Therapists, Oral Health Therapists, and junior dentists
- Promoting and modelling best-practice infection prevention and control
- Participating in ongoing training, professional development, and policy review

**About you**:
You’ll be someone who brings:

- ** AHPRA registration** as a Dental Practitioner (General Dentist) and a current radiation licence
- Strong clinical skills across preventive and restorative care, endodontics, extractions and infection management
- A patient-centred, trauma-informed approach to care, with an understanding of the social model of health
- Experience working in public or community health settings (or a strong interest in transitioning into this space)
- A warm, collaborative and curious mindset - someone who works well across teams and thrives in diverse environments

Fluency in a relevant community language is a plus, as is an interest in community outreach and oral health promotion.
