This role will specifically be working within the School of Medicine.

**About the role**:
The Lecturer will lead unit teaching teams in post-graduate programs to improve the student learning experience and outcomes. The position will initiate, design and conduct productive, high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs in their discipline area. The Lecturer may lead and research activities and is expected to engage collaboratively to develop novel research outcomes.

This position is suited to a person with an excellent record and passion for scholarly learning and teaching and a keen interest in exploring and building on new areas of education development and contribution to community engagement through teaching and employability.

The position will mainly focus on teaching and related service activities. The position is full-time and continuing, however fractional appointment will be considered.

**As a Lecturer in Clinical Practice, Education-focused, you will be responsible for**:

- Coordinating the local delivery of the Clinical Practice curriculum and assessment at both the rural training campuses and the Waurn Ponds Campus, in collaboration with the Clinical Practice (CP) and Curriculum and Student Experience (CaSE) teams across learning campuses, to provide an equitable learning experience for students.
- Collaboration with teaching teams at Waurn Ponds campus and rural Clinical Schools to deliver teaching and assessment experiences for Doctor of Medicine students at all sites, across Years 1-4 of the MD course
- Teaching and assessing clinical skills to medical students at a level consistent with relevant quality assurance principles for teaching and learning.
- Collaborating with technical support staff in the planning of technical resources for teaching.
- Developing learning environments that are flexible, student centred and accessible, and utilising appropriate technology.
- Supporting the transition of students to the clinical learning environment within the MD course.
- Making a significant contribution to the development and delivery of Indigenous Health learning and assessment activities, in consultation with the School’s Indigenous Health Professional Education Team
- Support of teachers in other Themes and programs within the School of Medicine.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications in a relevant health professional discipline.
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning
- Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement
- Emerging record of scholarly learning and teaching in postgraduate or undergraduate programs
- Ability to contribute to communities through research.
- Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
