**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

The IT Support trainee is responsible for IT support services, help desk services & other duties as outlined below. Responsibilities will scale over the period of the traineeship based on experience & understanding of the organisation & technology.
Goals:
The goal of the AFL SportsReady IT Department is to maximise the organisation’s operational efficiency through the use of infrastructure, technology & resources.
Objectives:
The objective of the AFL SportsReady IT Department is to manage technical infrastructure & provide services in support to the various business groups in accordance with AFL SportsReady’s values & strategic objectives.

Troubleshooting & Support:
Initial:

- Perform 1st level troubleshooting & support to resolve IT related incidents & requests.
- Escalate unresolved incidents to the relevant technical personnel.
- Prioritise incidents & tag they are logged in the ticketing system.
Developed over the traineeship:

- Perform 1st & 2nd level troubleshooting & support to resolve IT related incidents & requests.

Provide services to clients Initial:

- Provide help desk services, administrative & clerical work in the area of IT &
associated infrastructure.
- Create & manage user accounts & ensure the appropriate level of access to AFL
SportsReady’s shared drives & other network resources.
Developed over the traineeship:

- Provide computer network supporting services if possible.
Communication:

- Effectively communicate issues related to IT & associated infrastructure to all relevant parties.
Quality Control in the IT Infrastructure Department (preventive maintenance) Initial
- Assist with system documentation & provide feedback.
Developed over the traineeship:

- Performing system maintenance & administration activities.
- Follow maintenance programs to ensure ongoing supply of service & minimise potential downtime.
- Assist with escalations to vendors & other 3rd parties to perform services according to agreed service levels, & terms & conditions.
Management & Organisation Initial
- Maintain inventory records of IT hardware.
- Work with team members in setting up hardware & accessories.
Developed over the traineeship:

- Maintain IT equipment, liaising with vendors regarding warranty / repairs.
- Prepare any labs, tutorial rooms & lecture theatres to ensure appropriate provisioning of software & hardware.
- Setup & install software as directed by the supervisor.
Other duties:

- The employee may be asked to perform other duties as required across the company. Where procedures are not clearly defined, the employee is expected to exercise judgement & initiative & seek clarity where required.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

Essential:

- Cert III Information Technology
- Working with children check & police check
- Current & up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination status, including any booster in line with ATAGI recommendations
Skills / Attitude Mandatory:

- Customer focus with a passion to assist clients
- Enthusiasm & a positive attitude
- Ability to identify, analyse & solve problems
- Ability to provide assistance to clients promptly & eff
