**Position Purpose**
With a major focus on developing new innovative strategies and refining existing recruitment practices, you will be able to communicate the value proposition of NextGen Jobs and clearly articulate the benefits to individuals of undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship. This position is a pivotal driver of engagement with schools, TAFEs, community, leisure and other groups to raise awareness of the short
Your position will also involve end to end support of the recruitment function from presenting to stakeholders, to interviewing, conducting pre-employment checks and carrying out informative orientations, setting our future apprentices and trainees up for success.
**Outcomes and Responsibilities**
Engagement and Recruitment
- Create relevant, authentic and thoughtful job advertisements, specific to vacancy requirements and unique selling points.
- Develop attraction and selection strategies and marketing campaigns, which may include Employer Partner open houses, information sessions and other events.
- Use social media platforms as a talent sourcing tool.
- Review and revise applicant eligibility.
- Thorough and informative new starter orientations, administration and compliance so as to set up incoming apprentices and trainees up for success.
Administration
- Compile reports on recruitment activities as required by the Victorian Recruitment Team Lead.
- Project administration for our various Employer Partners and industry programs.
- Compliance when creating employment contracts for apprentices and trainees.
- Organisation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for new starters, where applicable.
- General administration including reporting and data entry.
- Liaise with other recruitment team members on key accounts linked to NextGen Jobs recruitment - Seek, Indeed, etc.
Marketing and Strategic Communications
- Social Media activity - promote vacancies and NextGen Jobs on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and others.
- With the assistance of our internal Graphic Design Consultant, you will be developing marketing and communication material specific to your target market.
- Development of secondary school and community presentations.
- Development and roll out of career expo display and marketing material.
- Maintain, contribute and update NextGen website recruitment material.
Other
- This role will be integral in supporting the NextGen Jobs National Manager - Partnerships and Growth and the Victorian Recruitment Team Lead to operationalise the organisation’s strategic plan and related objectives. Over time, this will involve leading various activities around optimising the recruitment function and supporting ongoing high vacancy to placement conversion rates.

- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to undertake (must have satisfactory outcome).
- Valid National Police Check or willingness to undertake (must have no disclosable outcomes).
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Be eligible and have the rights to work in Australia.
- Unless a valid medical exemption applies to you, you must be fully vaccinated (and maintain this status in accordance with public health advice or company policy) against COVID-19. You must also provide proof of vaccination status or evidence of a medical exemption upon request.
