- 2-3 Month secondment position

**The role**:
In this role, you’ll act as the Chapter Lead for Planning and ensure an exceptional customer experience through the development and maintenance of chapter guardrails, processes and procedures, servant leadership and employee development.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead the Planning Chapter to build and maintain a team that will effectively cater to the needs of customers and guests of the MCEC to produce the highest standard of service
- Contribute to Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and measure success metrics in alignment with the business 90-day rhythm. Ongoing assessment of the impact of Planning on the MCEC business model
- Provide support and guidance, and help prioritise, rather than ‘command and control’ to ensure outcomes in line with business plans are executed.
- Actively support agile ways of working and business transformation across the Chapter
- Manage the expense budget (including Planning Salaries, L&D, R&R etc.)
- Assist the Food and Beverage & Technology Services Departments to achieve budget revenue by supporting the customer experience and operational teams through documentation
- Ensure that Planners are constantly updating event forecasting as required
- Assist Technology Services and Food & Beverage to achieve their revenue targets byequipping and motivating the Planning team to promote value-adds to client where appropriate

**Qualifications, knowledge & experience**

**Essential**:

- Ability to create and promote a positive environment based on trust and psychological safety where our people are engaged, contribute their best and aspire to reach their full potential.
- Agile mindset and behaviours, championing and influencing a culture of growth mindset, self-leadership and development
- Prior proven experience in a senior service delivery role or similar capacity with a recognised Hospitality/Event organisation
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills to effectively negotiate with clients
- A successful track record in interpreting and delivering client expectations and needs.
- Proven leadership, training, coaching and performance of reporting teams.
- Sound conceptual and analytical skills and experience in evaluating event success and incorporating client feedback

**Desirable**:

- Possession of an appropriate tertiary qualification
- Experience with EBMS-
