**About this opportunity**

The goal of this role is to promote and expand the company’s commercial activity that will generate revenues and lead to long-term sustainable growth based on our company vision, goals, and objectives. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Managing Director and plays a key role in adding value to our growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities through a suite of products and services offered by DivCom and Mumbrella.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Study the current trends in both the economic market and in the industries we operate in to provide strategic advice to the commercial team
- Develop and implement commercial strategies based on thorough market research
- Provide overall direction and vision to enable key commercial decisions to be made weighing up overall priorities and based on ROI and other qualitative and quantitative measures
- Lead and manage the Commercial Directors at DivCom as well as the Commercial Director and Editorial Director for Mumbrella - provide coaching, guidance and a clear vision and strategy, removing roadblocks and building momentum and driving a positive team culture to ensure their success
- Gain a strong understanding and keep a constant pulse on feedback and insights from our exhibitors and visitors for each of the portfolios we operate in to feed into current and future strategies
- Prioritise and make trade-off decisions on strategic options with a balanced and informed approach using the right financial and non-financial, short-term and long-term metrics, utilising scenario planning and forecasting tools as required, with support from the Finance Director

**About You**
- 10+ years of relevant business experience
- BA/BSc in Business, Marketing or a related field
- Hands on experience in creating, reporting, and managing budgets
- Experience in a B2B business and sales environment
- Ability to gain insights from a variety of qualitative and quantitative data points, internally and externally sourced, to inform and guide decisions
- Hands on experience in creating, reporting, and managing budgets
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Digital Strategy & Events industry experience (desirable but not essential)
- People Leadership, Commercial Strategy, Managing a P&L, being part of a senior leadership team, and events industry exposure (required)
