Equipment Evaluation Specialist

**Your function**
As an **Equipment Evaluation Specialist** for Australia & New Zealand, you will be engaging with commercial teams to drive new business volume and develop strategies to finance new asset classes. You are responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and researching various types of equipment to accurately determine market dynamics and asset values. You will be working closely with sales, customers, and dealers to provide solutions to assist in the development of new business volume in existing programs, and the development of new programs. In addition, you are responsible for reviewing and analyzing current portfolios with a view to increase performance and ensure adherence to Global Asset Management policies.
This role delivers asset expertise to support both origination activities and risk management of the existing and future portfolio for Construction, Transportation and Industrial (CT&I) equipment. It is a proactive role focused on working closely with the commercial teams within the CT&I sectors to identify asset financing opportunities and progress those to closure using residual risk and asset backed structures. In addition, you will be responsible for working closely with the local commercial and /or C&R team members to support asset evaluation needs on an ad hoc basis for both new business and distressed customers.

**Day to day**
- Develop and align working relationships with Program Management, Sales, and New Business Development to identify and pursue commercial opportunities and then execute them to delivery.
- Develop and implement an Asset Management strategy for selected accounts that drives new lease originations and residual risk income.
- Keep up to date with the equipment that our vendor partners manufacture and sell, along with their competitors. Providing the business unit with updates on new product launches and market developments within the CT&I sectors.
- Prepare Vendor Reports and Ad Hoc reports for review by the Asset Management Committee.
- Work with Local Remarketing teams on how best to remarket portfolio assets before they are returned.
- Liaising with third party asset valuators and other DLL Asset (Evaluators) Managers and challenging assumptions where appropriate.
- Research and review of various countries, local business practices and customs, markets, etc. that may impact asset values across Australia and New Zealand
- Participate in Asset Management related projects (within and outside BU).

**Your Profile**
Essentials to be successful in this role:
- Professional insight and minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, credit, or asset management within the finance market.
- Genuine interest in and relevant knowledge of the CT&I sector and the commercial operations within it.
- Strong commercial drive and business acumen. Able to engage with internal commercial teams to develop and execute commercial initiatives and present them to high level external relationships.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop, manage, and evolve internal and external relationships.
- Quality driven and results oriented with a self-starting entrepreneurial spirit.
- Logical thinking, ability to represent complex and technical issues clearly and concisely.
- Able to find and provide a solution and generate more than one option.
- Able to work in a multifunctional and multicultural environment.
- Commercial experience across diverse industry verticals.
