The team combines a diverse skillset across sales, business development, account management and pursuit excellence to help our clients solve the complexities of their businesses, as well as drive organic and inorganic growth of our business.
KPMG's Corporate Development function is responsible for sourcing, executing and managing acquisitions and minority investments opportunities in line with the Firm's growth strategy and priorities. The HR Mergers & Acquisition Lead primarily works alongside the Integration Director, providing end to end HR expertise for the entire deal lifecycle, along with an array of other transactions and transformation initiatives.
**Your Opportunity
**The
**HR Mergers & Acquisition Lead **will be responsible for developing the acquisition people strategy, then standardising the HR approach for acquisitions, including areas such as workforce planning, employee transfers, organisational design, engagement and culture, retention and compensation & benefits. These responsibilities will commence with deal evaluation and continue until the business is fully integrated.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Work effectively in cross functional teams bringing your HR expertise to a variety of business challenges
- Remain resilient and stay calm when dealing with uncertainty and complexity, while demonstrating the ability to analyse complex problems, providing solutions and recommendations
- Acknowledge challenges and risks, using these as learning opportunities to grow
- Continuously improve the integration process for all acquisitions to drive the outcomes of the business case, drawing on lessons learnt and formalising a post implementation review process
- Post transaction responsibilities, include ensuring the incoming leaders are set up for success, the execution of the career progression strategy for the combined businesses, along with conducting regular pulse checks with the business
- Create an environment in the cross functional team that promotes bringing out the best in those that you work with
**Qualifications
- Have previous experience in Mergers and Acquisitions
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams effectively, enabling career progression for high-potential people by assisting them grow and develop, fostering innovation
- Experience working in the deal's environment, or on large business transformations
- Ability to communicate with impact and influence
- Strong background across all areas of HR
- Track record of working with Senior Stakeholders in large projects, developing relationships and becoming the trusted advisor on HR matters
- Experience in leading change management projects
- Has strategic impact and contributes to the business wide strategy
