PR Account Manager

My client is a leading, independent public relations agency with headquarters in Melbourne and a presence in Sydney, Australia. The team has extensive experience servicing prominent national and international brands in the Luxury, Beauty, Events, and Consumer/Retail space.

They consist of some of Australia's leading and most passionate communications professionals armed with unrivalled industry contacts. Staying ahead of the game in an ever-evolving media landscape and delivering proven and exceptional, results-driven campaigns is their strength in the industry.

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced and driven Account Manager to join the collaborative team. Ideally, the applicant will have an interest in diverse industries, predominantly beauty, retail, events, and consumer.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee key client documents prepared by the junior team, such as agendas, WIPs, and meeting notes
- Oversee MSR, clippings, and client reporting prepared by the junior team
- Oversee the management of guest lists, invitations, and RSVPs managed by the junior team
- Manage influencer engagement campaigns
- Manage media relations campaigns
- Write media materials
- Manage pitching, follow-ups, and achieve coverage
- Attend and manage client meetings
- Assist in event management for clients and oversee the management of suppliers when required (e.g., talent, photographers, event suppliers, etc.)
- Manage client relationships
- Foster media and industry relationships
- Assist with the clients social media
- Support the team across all activities as required
- Assist colleagues and Directors with all clients when necessary
- Contribute to the positive culture of the agency
- Willingness to work in a fun but fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Strong communication, presentation, writing, and editing skills
- Interest in creating strong media and industry contacts
- Experience working with media and influencers
- Excellent organizational skills
- Creative mind and ability to think outside the box
- Highly driven attitude
- Good sense of style and confidence in oneself
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to the team environment

Package includes:

- One paid personal day per quarter (4 per year) that will not accrue
- Option for Birthday leave (paid) if birthday falls on a weekday
- Time in lieu offered at the discretion of the Directors for weekend/public holiday work
- Finish time of 4 pm on Friday
- Mindfulness initiatives including regular yoga (weekly) and quarterly mindfulness and meditation workshops
- Flexible work-from-home hours - currently, they work from home on Wednesday and Friday
- Monthly phone bill paid (up to $80) after probation period
