ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Health Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of health, mental health, and drug and alcohol services at Port Phillip Prison. You will responsible for:

- Participating in clinical governance activities, includes developing and implementing policies and procedures, reviewing patient care, and ensuring that all health services are delivered to the highest standards
- Coordinating and monitoring contracted health services, ensuring that contracted health providers are meeting their contractual obligations, monitoring the quality of care being provided
- Preparing reports and responses on incidents, investigations, and root cause analysis
- Monitoring health and drug and alcohol service demands, monitoring the demand for health and drug and alcohol services within the prison and in the community working toward contractual KPI's

The Health Services Manager will work collaboratively with the broader Offender Services teams to identify opportunities for improvement, and working with the Offender Services and Integration Manager to advocate for service enhancements.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking professionals with a strong background in health care and experience in managing and delivering services ideally within a correctional setting. You'll be a:

- Strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in improving health outcomes
- Strong leader, communicator, and great interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of health care principles and practices
- Collaborative team member who creates open and safe environments
- Previous or current registration with AHPRA would be advantageous
