We are seeking an Experienced Leading Hand Formwork person for an immediate start to work in the Illawarra Region of NSW. This is your opportunity to grow with our leading company.

**THE ROLE**

The successful applicant will be working alongside two other Leading hands on construction sites, taking care of formwork, steel and concrete for our residential and commercial concreting company. Remuneration will be negotiated based upon experience and qualifications. Friendly team.
- Supervising the Formwork Team: You will lead a team of workers responsible for the assembly, installation, and dismantling of formwork. You'll provide instructions, allocate tasks, and ensure that the team works efficiently and safely.
- Reading and Interpreting Plans: You'll need to read and understand construction plans and drawings to determine the correct formwork design and layout. This involves interpreting architectural and engineering drawings to implement the specified formwork system.
- Material Management: As a leading hand, you'll be responsible for managing the inventory of formwork materials, ensuring they are available on-site when needed. This includes ordering materials, monitoring usage, and minimizing wastage.
- Quality Control: You'll oversee the quality of the formwork installation to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications. This involves inspecting the work regularly and addressing any issues or defects promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Safety is paramount in construction. You'll enforce safety protocols and ensure that the team follows all relevant safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Problem-Solving: Construction sites can present unexpected challenges. As a leading hand, you'll need to think critically and find practical solutions to any formwork-related issues that arise.
- Collaboration: You will collaborate with other construction trades, such as concrete workers, carpenters, and site supervisors, to coordinate the formwork installation with other aspects of the project.
- Progress Reporting: Keeping track of the formwork progress and reporting to higher management or supervisors is essential to ensure that the project stays on schedule.
- Training and Development: You may also be involved in training new workers or apprentices in formwork construction techniques and best practices.
- Overall, your role as a formwork leading hand is essential in ensuring that the concrete structures are built safely, accurately, and according to the project's specifications. Your expertise in formwork construction and your leadership skills play a vital role in the success of the construction project.

**KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Living in Australia (the position is in the Iliwarra district of Regional NSW)
- Experienced (see above)
- Fit and healthy
- Able to read plans
- Punctual and reliable
- Drivers licence
- Excellent communication skills
- White Card
- Additional qualifications such as Excavator or Forklift licence and First Aid Qualification will be viewed favourably.
