Crew Lead, Safe and Resilient Lending

A bit about the role

We’re looking for a Crew Lead for our Safe and Resilient Lending team. This role focuses on the optimisation of lending models and services to meet changing compliance and regulatory lending expectations, while enabling lending growth.

Your team will build and optimise components to enable seamless straight through lending in a safe and accessible way, while obsessing over lending regulatory and model compliance such as CCR, Lenders Mortgage Insurance, valuations and pricing experience delivery.

You will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team to deliver their mission, and work with Product Owners (POs) to refine the customer and broker experience, ensuring the right work is identified, prioritised and delivered.

Your day-to-day
- Obsess over performance and drive consistency across squads while identifying and removing anything that impedes performance
- Understand customers through performance data, feedback and complaints
- Exercise good judgement, balance opportunities with potential risks, and mitigate material risks and obligations
- Prioritise initiatives within agreed Crew capacity, identifying, addressing and escalating blockers
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities by monitoring the external environment, customer behaviour, new technologies and competitors
- Collaborate closely with other Crew Leads, CoE leads, Performance Leads and stakeholders to problem solve across the business and deliver shared Enterprise objectives
- Coach and challenge your POs, enabling them to problem solve and thrive
- Lead the co-ordination with Distribution teams, Operations teams, Product and Pricing, finance and Performance teams to ensure safe delivery of benefits

We’re interested in hearing from people with:

- Strong commercial acumen and ability to tackle complex business challenges
- Experience in leading and motivating large teams
- Previous experience working on Lending products
- Exceptional relationship management experience across a broad range of stakeholder and partner groups
- Track record of building and leveraging effective internal and external relationships with a history of achieving superior financial results
- Ability to set strategy, bring it to life and deliver against it, within a large P&L business
- Risk mindset - all employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
