**About the role**
With a dual reporting line to both the Managing Director and the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the logistics process from start to end.
- Manage relationships and maintain frequent communication with the Company’s logistics and warehouse service provider representatives to manage in-coming and out-going shipments / transport of goods and ensure that they are processed in a timely manner and ready to be transported to clients (including necessary labelling, inspection organisation and oversight etc.).
- Be the key contact person with the Customs Broker and international shipment service provider.
- Manage stock planning meetings and ordering process.
- Purchase forecast including participation in the purchase forecast meetings with the sales team to align forecasts and orders and raise the orders thereafter.
- Prepare, process and send out agreed purchase orders to suppliers, liaise with dispatch and deliveries.
- Ensure all stock is with Australian legal mandatories for sale in accordance with legislation.
- Oversee and resolve situations regarding stock damages, returns and reconciliations with 3PL.
- Reporting to Management regarding orders (e.g. shipment status, warehouse status, estimated dispatch / arrival dates).
- Manage annual stock take process and related reconciliations.
- Ensure timely reporting of State packaging tax (Exchange for change etc.).
- Follow inbound transport cost developments and seek cost savings.
- Look for efficiencies and cost savings in outbound deliveries.
- Ensure item and product set-up in ERP and with 3PL.
- Manage aged stock balance and stock turnover days.
- Participate in regular meetings and process improvement initiatives.
**About you**
- You are dynamic and enjoy being part of a passionate team - culture is the key driver for our client, they love their brands and genuinely enjoy working with each other.
- You have similar experience working for a manufacturer or you currently work in 3PL and Shipping and keen to transfer your skills to a manufacturer and position yourself on the client side.
- You have experience managing distribution and logistics, including order management and inventory management experience. Previous experience working with Sales teams to facilitate purchasing forecasts will ensure your success in this role.
- Own vehicle and full driver’s licence
- Given the autonomous nature of this role, you're comfortable working independently
- Self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment
