As an AWS Partner Development Manager (PDM), you will have the exciting opportunity to help develop and deliver on a strategy to build adoption of Amazon Web Services in the National Security and Defence sector. Your mission will be to develop AWS awareness and adoption, build AWS competency, and drive sell-through engagements with our partners.
In this role, you will establish deep business relationships with AWS partners through your knowledge of our customer's mission and operating environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector National Security and Defence Team in helping to drive overall AWS business strategy.
- Develop and support a portfolio of key partners, developing and advancing relationships and growing mutual business opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
- Understand and navigate public sector contracting vehicles and procedures.
- Set a strategic partner plan for National Security and Defence customers,
- Understand the technical considerations and certifications specific to the public sector.
- Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating the specific value proposition for their business and use case.
- Work closely with the AWS sales teams to build relationships and foster joint pursuits.
A day in the life
- Experience in positioning and selling technology.
- Prior experience with Australian Federal Government.
- Ability to translate customer business and technology priorities into technology solutions.
- Knowledge of key IT partners in Australia.
- Able to communicate fluently (verbal and written).
- Must meet/exceed AWS Leadership Principles
