
Support Worker

As a Casual Support Worker, your primary clients will have complex disabilities; physical, behavioural, and intellectual. You will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to these individuals with the activities they choose to do, ensuring they receive the professional standard of care that Liorn is known for.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assisting clients with complex disabilities in their daily activities like accessing the community, self cares, short term accommodation etc
- Ensuring effective communication and interaction with non-verbal clients, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
- Collaborating closely with families to provide holistic support
- Adhere to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's standard of best practise
- Communicate effectively and timely with management (via the designated channels)
**Requirements**:
To be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in working with clients who have complex disabilities, including PEG feeding, oxygen management, and pain management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all clients and management staff
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to providing care and support to clients and their families
- Availability for shifts on a casual basis
- A reliable vehicle to transport and commute to various locations around the Gold Coast
- All NDIS Credentials required as per the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (such as Worker Screen Module complete, reliable vehicle with insurance and registration, QLD drivers licence, CPR/First Aid etc. A full list of requirements will be sent prior to your interview.)
- The right to work in Australia/be an Australian citizen
