**Your new company**
Our client is a industrial engineering company who design and manufacture products ranging from precise engineered parts, chassis, steel fabrication and mechanical equipment overhauls. They provide engineering solutions to a variety of different industries including construction, defence and rail.
**Your new role**
As a Production Manager your responsibility will be focused on their engineering shop. You will plan and organise production schedules and co-ordinate workflow. Other duties will
- Leadership and development of production team
- Oversee production staff tasks and duties
- Provide technical support on light, medium and heavy machining projects
- Identify and pursue opportunities for improved operational efficiency in consultation
with the Production team
- Oversee maintenance of production equipment
**What you'll need to succeed**
In your role as a Production Manager you will have experience working within a similar role within a industrial manufacturing setting. Other desired skills are:
- Monitor, evaluate and improve operational shop's performance, including the efficiency of staff, procedures and production costs
- Coordination with the Project Managers to ensure project objectives are met
including DIFOT
- In conjunction with other managers, plan and execute operating plans, particularly with regard to production, output, quality and quantity, cost, lead time available, labour requirements, planned production programs, control activities and inventory levels
