Head Bartender

Active bartending and hosting Distillery visitors during opening hours;
Thursday 3-10pm
Friday 3-10pm
Saturday 12-10pm
Sunday 12-6pm
- Leave cover for the Venue Manager assuming full responsibilities and accountabilities during this period
- Distillery Tasting Bar back of house operations
- Maintain stock control system for all bar and food consumables
- Ordering of all bar and food consumables
- Maintain and update POS with accurate COGS for each SKU on the regular or special menu.
- Assist with booking in and changing ticketing through the reservation system and event booking system
- Distillery Tasting Bar front of house operations.
- Implementing all Tasting Bar operations through the bar staff team;
- Maintaining exceptional drink and customer service standards in the venue
- Menu items - quality cocktails preparation and serving of simple food offerings
- Venue compliance with food safety practices to standards
- Cleanliness and appearance of the venue
- On behalf of the venue licensee, ensure full compliance to its liquor license, Implementation of the Alcohol Plan of Management and Responsible Service of Alcohol practices and valid competency by all serving staff
- Implement and ensure conformance by all staff to operational procedures
- Cash and EFTPOS management to fully reconciled money daily open/close of POS systems under the guidance of the venue manager if they are not available
- Accountability to meet agreed task timelines as assigned by the Venue Manager
- Food prep if required
- Full completion of venue routine procedures recorded daily on checklists
- Willing to work at our external events
