Your part in our BlueCare team

To provide clinical care and expertise to Blue Care clients and residents across a range of service types within the Exercise Physiology discipline scope of practice and assist the Exercise Physiology Lead in delivering successful outcomes across the Allied Health Exercise Physiology network.

A challenging but diverse and rewarding role, you will:

  • Provide a high standard of flexible and responsive clinical leadership to exercise physiology and allied health assistant staff.
  • Assess, develop, manage and evaluate appropriate care plans and/or group programs for all clients/carers, encouraging a self management approach.
  • Delegate activities to other staff as appropriate e.g. Allied Health Assistants and Personal Carers, to support client independence and self management.
  • Identify, develop, contribute and guide the development of service delivery and resources within area of expertise.
  • Collect, record, analyse and trend relevant care outcome measures.
  • Deliver training presentations as required.
  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding of new Exercise Physiologists and student practicum programs.

What makes a difference for us?

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Exercise Physiology are essential, with post-graduate studies highly regarded
  • Current ESSA Accreditation
  • Previous experience within an Aged Care and Community services setting
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working as an Exercise Physiologist, ideally across varied clinical settings.
  • Leadership or management experience within allied health or multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
  • Effective time-management and proven clinical problem-solving skills
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
  • Demonstrated high level of understanding of contemporary theory and practice in multiple areas of expertise, particularly within the community health and aged care setting.
  • Demonstrated high level ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care and services for clients.
