Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Risk Assessment and Analysis Services on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

**About the Role**:

- Covert Analysis and Assurance (CAA) - to develop on Operations and Policy Risk Assessment to incorporate the following:

- The development of an operational risk assessment against each crime type impacted by the decision to cease the use of a dedicated workforce to listen to intercepted telephone calls to enable these resources to be diverted to enhanced analysis of telecommunications and surveillance content and non-content. This risk assessment is to consider all proposed treatments to address any identified risks.
- Comparative analysis on the effectiveness central monitoring capabilities to support operational outcomes.
- Analysis of resource demands on the central monitoring capabilities verse metadata
- Covert and Technical Operations (CTO) - to review current documentation and practises to ensure adherence to the AFP guidelines and more broadly, risk management best practice as follow:

- A review of current procedures and operational planning and risk assessment templates to ensure compliance with current AFP and CTO governance instruments, legislative requirements and risk management best practice.
- Consideration of enhancements to planning and risk assessment templates wherein compliance to governance and adherence to recognised operational doctrine and training standards are actively recognised and acknowledged as risk mitigation strategies by CTO members and supervisors.
- Evaluate the addition of a benefit component to the risk assessment process to conduct a benefit vs risk analysis
- Exploration of alternate methods for conducting risk assessments that may achieve compliance with AFP governance and risk management best practice that is not onerous on members
