**About the role**

Ballarat Health Services, proudly part of Grampians Health has an opportunity in the Health Information Services department for 2 highly motivated individuals to join the team.

The role calls for applicants with a high degree of flexibility, initiative, an eye for detail and willingness to learn. In addition, high level communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a tight knit team are paramount. Well-developed computer and time management skills are essential and the successful applicant will need to have the ability to work under pressure in order to meet internal deadlines.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Managing requests for information
- Scanning
- Clinical documentation into the Digital Medical Record
- Retrieval and distribution of medical records on demand
- Reception

**Skills and experience**
- Demonstrated accurate word processing and keyboard skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and electronic mail;
- Ability to enter information/data with accuracy and reasonable level of speed.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding environment with targeted outcomes and ability to achieve Key Performance Indicators.

**Desirable**
- Previous clerical or clinical experience.
- Experience in a similar role within a hospital environment.
- Ability to understand and use medical terminology with accuracy.
