**The Role**
As an EL 1 within the Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO), you will help deliver AGO’s mission and cutting-edge capabilities now and into the future.
You will lead a team that works with teams across AGO to undertake intelligence production, research, governance and analysis activities so that you can engage with a range of diverse domestic and international stakeholders on operational and strategic issues to achieve Defence outcomes.
You will enable the critical relationship between policy, intelligence and operations that informs senior leadership and decision makers.
You will be responsible for delivering a diverse range of initiatives to facilitate strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.

The Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) is the lead agency for geospatial data, information, and intelligence, also known as GEOINT for Defence and government. Our people make a vital contribution to protect the lives and safety of Australians at home and overseas by providing GEOINT to decision-makers at all levels. You would be working in a unique, challenging and dynamic environment.
We are recruiting specifically for the GEOINT Mission and Engagement (GME) Branch and we are a diverse branch with a workforce dispersed across Australia and the world. The Branch drives AGO’s focus on mission, we lead the Defence Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) community, we prioritise engagement with our partners and we develop policy to support GEOINT and ensure compliance with Australian legislation. GME Branch supports and drives AGO’s ability to leverage unique capabilities to lead the delivery of GEOINT in support of Australia’s national interests.
- Exercise judgement and triage information to identify key factors that support decision making,
- Achieve results by building and leveraging partnerships, and
- Communicate, consult, liaise and engage across AGO, Defence and with partners.
