**HSEQ Coordinator - QANTAS**

**The Role**
The HSEQ Coordinator manages the development, implementation and continuous improvement of BGIS Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Continuously improving and maintaining the integrated management system to ensure ongoing certification to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Constantly promoting a positive safety culture
- Proactively managing workplace issues to minimise loss and prevent harm
- Management of all incidents, injuries and near misses.
- Conducting scheduled and impromptu audits, inspections and observations
- Creating, coordinating and delivering toolboxes across several projects and sites
- Regular site visits, including pre-starts, safety walks and inspections
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation and standards, and advise interested parties
- Preparing HSEQ reports and presenting findings and statistics
- Review all invoices before issuing them to the Facilities Manager / Contract Manager for approval.
- Manage the requisitioning of supplies ensuring expenditure is maintained within budget.

**Skills and Experience**
- Cert IV in OHS/WHS,
- A diploma in OHS/ WHS is desirable
- Training in current OH&S, QA and ideally environmental legislation and systems.
- Current First Aid Certificate is highly preferred.
- 1+ years experience in an HSEQ Coordinator role or similar, and 3+ years in construction, property management, facility management or trades role
- Working knowledge of HSEQ management systems and standards, including AS/NZS 4801 and AS/NZS ISO 14001 or ISO 9001 systems
- Proven experience conducting safety inspections
- Ability to write reports, review safety documentation e.g. SWMS and safety plans, and issue work permits, e.g., work at heights, hot works and confined space permits
- Able to respond quickly to change and adopt an innovative and collaborative approach to safety management.
