**About the role**

The Wellness, Health and Safety (WHS) Business Partner’s key purpose is to contribute to and enhance Navitas’ commitment to promoting employee and student wellbeing across the University Partnerships Australasia division, and ensuring the health and safety for everyone who works, learns or visits with us, by effectively developing and implementing WHS programs.

**The person we seek will ideally have the following**:

- Pragmatic WHS Business Partner/Specialist (at least 5 years WHS partnering experience) who has the ability to operate independently with little day-to-day direction
- Strong proficiency in WHS disciplines, e.g. wellness, incident investigation, risk management, training, workers compensation/injury management, and pandemic management
- Solid knowledge of WHS practices, standards and statutory requirements
- Ability to tailor, implement and embed programmes and initiatives that are largely determined at the thought leadership level
- Exceptional WHS leadership and stakeholder management skills across all levels
- Experience negotiating and working collaboratively with workplace representation
- Exceptional customer focus and commitment, balanced with owning and driving the WHS agenda for the division
- Maintain strong working relationships with external parties, including unions, regulators and industry bodies
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, able to build credible, trusting and respectful relationships with all levels of employees
- Strong commercial orientation; understanding of business operations, products and services
- Strong problem solving and planning skills. High outcome orientation and drive, as well as thorough understanding of business execution needs
- Excellent communication skills and highly service oriented
- Ability to interact at executive/senior level, including Board presentations
