**Department/Team Overview**

The Health Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) team is responsible for managing safety and supporting the health and wellbeing of our people, creating a healthy environment in which employees can perform, are resilient in time of change, are engaged and productive and continue to develop programs and initiatives to enhance the lives of our people.

**Job Description**:
The role of the Health and Safety Business Partner is to provide specialist expertise and insight on core HS&W systems and processes. The role will develop solutions and oversees effective execution of complete processes and frameworks aligned to plans and objectives set by the Health & Safety Team. Sharing knowledge and guidance with leaders through this process is also critical.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Delivers and executes the annual WHS strategy as it applies to stakeholder group
- Partner, coach, train and guide operational leaders and employees on all areas of WHS
- Advise and instruct on areas of WHS risk and operational safety controls
- Deploy training programs as required
- Conduct investigations and make recommendations on controls
- Shares ideas and information to contribute to development of strategy for HS&W aligned to the people strategy and Nine’s strategic business priorities
- Implements programs and other activities within agreed budget, quality and other objectives.
- Coordinate response to key risks as they arise, for example COVID management and control
- Other duties as reasonably required

**Employee responsibilities**:

- Communicate, engage and inspire stakeholder groups to increase activity and connections to all aspects of WHS
- Contributes to design and implements frameworks, tools, processes and other mechanisms for the business areas to ensure effective implementation and proper governance throughout Nine and achievement of people strategy
- Be the advocate and example of Behavioural Safety and Mental health and wellbeing
- Mentors and guides others to help with day to day tasks and build the expertise of the team.
- Seeks out industry best practice to further own learning and bring in fresh thinking to the business within area of expertise

**Qualifications**:
**Required experience & skills**
- Experience of leading projects and delivering outcomes within set standards
- Experience of advising and influencing colleagues
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent
- Cert IV in WHS or higher
- Good knowledge of area of expertise within WH&S
- Strong listening and influencing skills
- Experience designing and facilitating training on broad elements of WHS
- Experience of advising and influencing colleagues and leaders with strong listening skills
- Experience of delivering projects and outcomes within set standards
- elf-motivated and able to work independently on multiple activities, prioritise and adapt to changing conditions.
