- The Fire Support Officer assists the preparedness staff in the Port Phillip Fire Region. If successful, you will provide administrative support and assist in the coordination of fire and other emergency preparedness and response activities for Bushfire Forest Services (BFS), within the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). In addition, the Fire Support Officer provides executive support to Regional Controllers and works closely with other emergency services.
- To perform effectively in this role, it is essential to have demonstrated skills in project management and excellent organisational skills. The successful applicant will have highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work seamlessly across various projects, teams and units. Additionally, the successful applicant will demonstrate initiative and confidence when engaging with stakeholders and exhibit a high level of motivation to support and drive the team's success.
- In this position, you will report to the to the Regional Control Lead in the Regions and Bushfire and Emergency Management Team.
- The position is predominately office based.

**Applicants must hold a current manual Drivers Licence (conditions A, I & V not acceptable for employment).**

**Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- An understanding and knowledge of practices and issues associated with fire and emergency

**This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is Woori Yallock, Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.**
