**THE ROLE**
As part of our diverse team based in **Sydney**, you will help make a positive impact on someone’s life every day. You will feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose. This will be a **Full Time** **Permanent** position based in the **George Street** office, with flexibility to work from home.
The purpose of this role is to be one of the senior members of the engineering team in Sydney that will lead in the design of technical solutions & the delivery of technical support for key infrastructure services. The Technical Services Manager is responsible for ensuring successful delivery and support on EML’s technology services that are delivered and managed by one of the Sydney engineering team’s.
This role will be responsible for managing a team that deliver supporting services for a wide range of technology and will oversee the team’s development and growth to align with EML’s needs. This role requires experience in managing and mentoring people, managing vendor relationships and monitoring SLA’s, providing strategic direction for operational activities in the team and proposing technical solutions to meet business requirements. This role will be responsible for ensuring implementation, ongoing operational delivering and driving continuous improvement for infrastructure systems and services under the team’s scope.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work closely with the Head of Security and Infrastructure and Sydney team members to assist the business in reviewing, designing & management of solutions in the infrastructure team remit
- Responsible for managing a team of engineers to ensure the Technology services under the team’s responsibilities are delivered to meet EML’s needs
- Manage and deliver infrastructure support to ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed service levels
- Report on team delivery, issues & risks related to the services you are responsible for and measure outcomes in comparison with targets. Manage the team to adhere to agreed KRA’s
- Responsible for providing solution designs based of the requirements of the business, but also include security and infrastructure considerations.
- Work closely with teams in Technology to provide solutions designed to not only meet the business needs, but provide a supportable outcome for the relevant teams
- Review the overall systems / network architecture and operational efficiency on a regular basis or as required and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Interact with the Security & Governance & other Infrastructure/engineering teams to review solutions designs from a functional and security perspective
- Liaise with external vendors as necessary to facilitate the design or support of solutions.
- Manage EML’s IT Disaster Recovery plan. Review & update the IT DR Plan on a regular basis as per Technologies security and governance requirements.
- Lead the review, planning and execution of EML’s IT Disaster Recovery Plan for the business to ensure the solution can meet the agreed RTO’s & RPO’s
- Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations for the purchase of products and services.
