**Contracts Officer - NSW Government**

A Contracts Officer is required by a NSW Government Department in Parramatta on an initial contract for 6 months with potential extensions.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Handling a high volume of construction and professional services contracts
- Provide effective organisation and logístical support to project teams to ensure administrative functions for project meetings, workshops, inspections, and events are accomplished.
- Provide timely and accurate management reports on contract and project performance to assist project teams in achieving project deliverables.
- Managing contract and procurement documents, including filing and archiving.
- Provide effective contract administration support services, ensuring effective preparation and maintenance of contract documents, correspondence and data and the timely payment of contractors.
- Responding to a range of customer enquiries and incorporating a customer-centric approach to deliver superior customer service objectives without supervision.
- Handling a high volume of construction and professional services contracts
- Obtain approvals and process payments through financial systems.

**Selection criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience in a project delivery environment or knowledge of project delivery processes and reporting methods.
- Demonstrated experience in the administration of contracts, including using database management systems and corporate financial systems.
- Demonstrated ability to research information and effectively prepare written reports, memoranda and correspondence.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats
- Previous NSW Government experience, particularly in a high-volume environment
