Today Wafex encompasses over 100 staff across 4 continents, 300 customers and over 500 growers.

Wafex is seeking a motivated **Procurement Manager, **who is looking to grow their career in a true leadership role. As an experienced leader, you will have a confident and professional approach and a desire to lead from the front. You will provide coaching and mentoring to the team, ensuring results are achieved and the development of the team continues to grow, maintaining a positive and progressive culture.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include**:

- Determining, implementing and monitoring purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans
- Preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements
- Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels
- Operating recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times
- Liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation
- Overseeing the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions
- Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance
- Provision of products and services to meet customer or client requirements

**To be successful for this role, we expect that you possess the following attributes.**
- Bachelor’s degree, Cert III or IV or Diploma in Project Management or Leadership
- Previous experience working in Procurement
- Previous experience working in perishables, fresh flowers most desirable
- Good floral knowledge - Extremely Advantageous
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Ensure customer expectations and service levels are met on a daily basis
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in driving a strong “safety” culture.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
