**EL1 - Product Owner, Trove Metadata Project (non-ongoing opportunity)**:

The National Library of Australia is seeking to fill a leadership role as the **Product Owner, Trove Metadata Project** **(EL1) **in the Collaboration Branch. This is a non-ongoing vacancy **for 14 months**.
The Product Owner, Trove Metadata Project role is required to undertake work that is complex in nature to support replacement of aging metadata platforms within the Trove Data and Platforms section.
The Product Owner will provide strategic advice, analysis and recommendations to develop the Trove Collaborative Services cataloguing module, which covers a diverse range of complex and sensitive initiatives.
This role is part of a 14-month agile and PRINCE2 project tasked with the creation of a new cataloguing module for Trove Collaborative Services. The role is responsible for bringing business area needs and drivers to the project, as part of a cross-branch product development team.
This includes:
- Leading and contributing to workshops, working groups and consultations
- Representing the business area needs and priorities in managing the development pipeline and backlog, to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose
- Coordinating User Acceptance Testing across internal staff and external end users
- Organising your own work, and co-ordinating with others to deliver key project milestones on time, to a high quality
- Autonomous in working with limited supervision, navigating ambiguity and working flexibly through change.
The Product Owner, Trove Metadata Project will have high level leadership capability for leading and influencing others to deliver organisational outcomes. The responsibilities may include developing, coaching, performance management, change management, conflict resolution and the identification of development needs.
The Product Owner develops, manages and maintains a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships in conjunction with Trove Partnership team. To be successful in this vacant position, you should have experience as a product owner in an Agile team and experience managing system manipulating descriptive metadata in libraries, galleries, archives, museums, research institutions or similar environment.
It would be desirable if you hold qualifications or extensive experience in Information Management or Information Technology.
