- The Open Pits Department at Northern Star Resources currently has an opportunity for an experienced Group Fleet Management Systems Manager to join the team, working at our Subiaco based Corporate Office, on a permanent and full-time basis.
- Reporting to the Operations Manager, this key senior role will optimise fleet operations, reduce costs, and ensure compliance across our Open Pits Operations. This role is also pivotal in aligning fleet strategies with organisational goals and driving operational excellence.

- System Integration & Optimisation
- Lead the integration and standardization of fleet management software (e.g., GPS tracking, maintenance scheduling, fuel monitoring) across all company divisions.
- Ensure seamless data flow between fleet systems and other enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, HR, finance).
- Identify and implement system enhancements to improve fleet performance and user experience.
- Strategic Fleet Planning
- Develop and execute long-term fleet strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct fleet performance analysis to inform decisions on vehicle acquisition, replacement, and disposal.
- Collaborate with senior management to align fleet strategies with overall business objectives.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure fleet operations comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols and training programs for drivers and fleet staff.
- Manage insurance, licensing, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Budgeting & Cost Control
- Develop and manage the fleet budget, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and other expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to secure favourable terms.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of fleet managers, technicians, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the fleet team.
- Coordinate training programs to ensure staff are up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and compliance to senior leadership.
- Act as the primary liaison between the fleet department and other business units.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Although not essential, a Tertiary Qualification in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or similar will be highly regarded.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in fleet management or similar, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience managing large, diverse fleets across multiple locations.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and systems (e.g., GPS tracking, maintenance management, fuel monitoring).
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Experience with risk management and compliance reporting
