**About the role**:
The ERP Principal Specialist will manage and deliver an end-to-end ERP functional capability aligned to an ERP Platform Value Stream. This role will be responsible for setting vision, objectives, functional standards, behaviours, and ways of working to create a high-performance functional group.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead and role model customer focus by treating all internal and external customers with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity.
- Model and lead performance excellence and values-based culture in line with Council’s Leadership Blueprint.
- Set value stream vision, objectives, culture, and ways of working to create a high-performance technical group and culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage a value stream team to deliver support, minor enhancement and project functional change utilising internal resources and external service providers.
- Be a trusted point of contact for business stakeholders and an advocate for the ISB Group - understand business stakeholder vision, strategy, challenges, and opportunities.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to reinforce relationships with stakeholders and continually improve the brand of the ERP Platform Group.
- Translate business outcomes into a value stream strategy and roadmap ensuring alignment to broader platform strategy.
- Work with business and ISB stakeholders to define and scope new work. Ensure value/benefits are identified, tracked and communicated.
- Provide internal consulting advice to business and ISB stakeholders - harnessing SAP capabilities and best practice processes to meet business needs and exceed expectations.
- Collaboration with the OCM Specialist to assist in the planning, development and roll out of OCM deliverables.
- Develop and manage standards for SAP architecture, system configuration, functional unit testing and unit testing for delivered and vendor delivered SAP system configuration.
- Provide expert architecture and functional advice in the delivery of value stream services.

Note:

- Employees may be required to undertake duties within the limits of their skill, competence and training, consistent with their band level, in any area of Council.
- This role requires participation in an on-call roster, reasonable after-hours activities and overtime when required by business needs and/or disaster events.

**Highly desirable criteria**:

- Demonstrated evidence of capabilities in Council’s Leadership Blueprint to deliver performance excellence and a values-based culture.
- Highly developed verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills. Proven experience in building strong working relationships with all levels of seniority
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and management skills - understanding how others think and act -to smoothly deliver outcomes through strong business, team and supplier partnerships.
- Creates competitive and breakthrough plans for innovation; generates an attitude of enthusiastic expectancy in others regarding change and challenge.
- Significant experience of working in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments in SAP functional consulting and or SAP solution architecture.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge and experience in contemporary/iterative IT delivery methods such as Agile, Scrum, DevOps and the practices, ceremonies and delivery governance associated with these delivery methods.
- Demonstrated Specialist experience in in SAP Materials Management (MM), Inventory & Warehouse Management (IM/WM), Accounts Payable including OpenText and SAP Procurement, Source to Pay & ARIBA Source to Contract, Procure to Pay, SRM SLP (Supplier life cycle performance), Guided Buying with catalogue and non-Catalogue procurement, Expense Management.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience in working in a business function related to the value stream.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant or related discipline
- Business analysis and or business process analysis training and certification in a recognised framework.
- Demonstrated experience and industry training and certifications in SAP module functional analysis and configuration.
