**Canterbury League Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Gaming Duty Manager to join our friendly and supportive team on a full-time basis.**

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Gaming Manager, you will work across our home club, Canterbury League Club as well as our satellite Clubs including the Lakemba Club and Moxon Sports Club located in Punchbowl.

This is a hands-on role that will involve being responsible for the day to day running of the Gaming floor as well as dealing with incidents across the entire Club as they occur.

**Key duties include**:

- Ensuring exceptional customer service is consistently delivered in all service areas, in particular on the Gaming floor;
- Prompt issue resolution and adherence to privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements;
- General supervision of the overall premises during overnight trade;
- Leading and motivating a team of employees;
- Coaching and developing your team through constructive feedback and effective performance appraisals with the aim of reducing staff turnover;
- Participation in, and coordination of, continuous improvement activities relating to service practices, quality assurance and customer service excellence;
- Managing and reporting on customer and employee related incidents that occur on the Gaming floor and other Club areas as required; and
- Managing employee work performance and grievances.

Skills & competencies:

- Be self-motivated and a team player;
- Demonstrate a solid background in leadership and motivating teams;
- Possess a sound knowledge of gaming and/or food and beverage environments including knowledge of current legislation;
- Demonstrate strong reporting and communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Display exceptional grooming and presentation;
- Demonstrate commitment to your professional development by attending training sessions as scheduled by Canterbury (this may include attendance outside of normal rostered hours);
- Demonstrate your personal alignment and ability to communicate company, vision, mission and values;
- Possess analytical skills to make recommendations to management;
- Demonstrate thorough problem-solving skills;
- Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs; and
- Flexibility to work a rotating 24-hour, 7-day roster including days, evenings, weekends, public holidays and peak periods.

Experience and Qualifications:

- Current NSW RSA & RCG competency card (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role is preferred
- Possess tertiary qualifications in frontline management (preferable, but not essential)
- Full working rights
