Love making a difference? We’re looking for a Disability Support Worker to provide care and support to individuals with disabilities

**About the Role** We’re looking for a Casual Disability Support Worker to join our team in Burpengary. The role primarily involves sleepover shifts, with some daytime and weekend shifts available.

You’ll provide support to our customers, in their Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes or within the community.You’ll assist individuals with various disabilities, prioritise tasks effectively, and help create a supportive environment that encourages independence and personal growth. **Other responsibilities may include**:

- Assist with daily living tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with housekeeping duties, including cleaning, cooking, and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Keep accurate records, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies to encourage positive behaviors.
- Monitor and assist with managing epilepsy and diabetes, ensuring proper care.

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience providing support for individuals with high needs and complex behaviors
- Experience with PBSP (preffered)
- Knowledge in epilepsy and diabetes management (advantage)

**Requirements**:
The successful applicant will have or be willing to obtain;
- Valid drivers licence (P2 or open)
- CPR and First Aid certificate
- NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card)
- Working with Children Check (blue card)
- NDIS orientation module certificate
