Asst. Production Manager

To assist the kitchen production chef in producing products and services within the required deadlines and to the company’s set standards and customers’ satisfaction. To work within the operating budget using company nominated suppliers.

**Main Duties**:

- Monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas and during all stages of production according to the company’s Food Safety Management and closing down procedures.
- Accountability for the day to day running of the kitchen bulk production in the absence of the head chef.
- Maintain all equipment within the operation through due care and diligence.
- Program kitchen equipment to operate according to company and recipe standards and make changes to cooking temperature and time
- Comprehend written instructions and recipes from the company when putting together ingredients and starting a new batch of products
- Verify that each finished item meets the quality standards of the company by observing the size, shape, taste and appearance.
- Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the end of each shift and clean the workspace at the worker station by following company cleanliness standards

**Required**:

- Ability to follow all appropriate safety standards in food production
- Knowledge of basic math and reading comprehension skills

**Preferred**:

- Experience working in food production or in an industrial kitchen
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 38 per week

Work Location: In person
